Quinta do Sampayo, Branco 2024

Quinta do Sampayo is a historic family estate located in Vale da Pinta, within Portugal’s Tejo region. Founded in the late 18th century and now spanning around 90 hectares (including 55 ha of vineyards), the estate blends tradition with modern viticulture. They focus on crafting wines that reflect the local terroir, working the land sustainably and embracing their regional heritage. Made from a blend of 50% Arinto and 50% Fernão Pires, the 2024 Branco is pale straw in colour with delicate green highlights. It opens with aromas of white-fleshed pear, green apple and a hint of white blossom. The palate is crisp and light-footed, marked by fresh citrus zest and a subtle mineral edge, with a clean, lingering finish that evokes a gentle saline note. A bright, approachable Portuguese white, ideal for drinking now.
